ranahans opens daily from 11:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. for the Stampede Rodeo at 1:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - midnight for the Evening Show starting at 8:00 p.m. 

The Evening Show has been re-imagined.

*NEW As a result of pandemic-related impacts on the 2020 and 2021 chuckwagon racing season across western Canada, the Stampede will not be able to present the Rangeland Derby as part of the 2021 Evening Show. 

For 2021 only, the Calgary Stampede has re-imagined this double-header. Broncs After Dark will be a combination of grit, glamour, live music and celebration. Cheer on talented athletes as they compete in some of the greatest high-energy western competitions and electrifying rodeo events ever seen at the Stampede. Then as the sun sets, the Bell Grandstand Show will follow with The Young Canadians and adrenaline-filled performances that lead to a spectacular fireworks finale. 

We look forward to the return of thunder and thrill of chuckwagon racing in 2022. 


Servers and their support staff provide table-side service from chef-inspired action stations for main and private dining, so no advance food ordering is required. There are a variety of gluten-free and vegetarian choices. Main and private dining room service is the same throughout the venue. 

As guests arrive the server explains the dining experience and shows guests where to find the QR code for the menus. The Winemaker Series, featuring 10 Great Days, 10 Great Wines, is presented. Beverages are ordered and prepared by the bartender or wine steward. A cellar master is also on hand to provide information and recommendations about the wines. 

Guests are brought a warm cheese bun and an antipasto taster. A single-serving starter plate with items from the seafood bar and a feature salad are served. Guests can then choose from a wide variety of grill, carvery and side dishes. The server will have their choices plated from the action stations in-venue and delivered at request. Guests can order as many times as they choose to ensure they take full advantage of the culinary experience. Guests choose dessert and then are guided to the outdoor seat deck where the server will continue with in-seat beverage service. At intermission they enjoy dessert from their table indoors and return to the outdoor seat deck for the remainder of the performance.

Food service closes at 2:00 p.m. for lunch and 8:30 p.m. for dinner. 

Lunch or dinner, bottled water, soft drinks, juice, regular coffee and tea are included with a ticket. Alcoholic beverages, mocktails, specialty coffee and special bar requests (private dining) are billed separately.

All beverages for guests in main dining are billed at the conclusion of or after the event, depending on the corporate account preference.

Eventholders for private dining only complete an event order form in advance to select a bar and wine choice and advise of allergy and dietary considerations. They also assign an on-site event host who will be our point of contact, be responsible for the event guests and who has the eventholders authorization to make additions and changes to the event order form on-site. 

ranahans LOUNGE + PATIO

*NEW Members and Founders Club cardholders can host up to six guests, including the cardholder, in the lounge areas as long as the member or founder is present (guests must provide their own gate admission to Stampede Park).

Member and Founders Club cards permit access to lounges even if the organization has issued its dining tickets for that performance to another member of the organization or group of guests. Guests who hold a dining ticket for either the afternoon or evening on the day of their event only can choose to visit ranahans Lounge + Patio apart from their dining experience, pending availability.

All guests are first-come, first served. A variety of menu items will be available, charges apply.

Subject to restrictions and capacity. Guests will be seated a tables for two, four or six, pending availability. 

Guests enjoying ranahans Lounge + Patio will have a QR code to view the menus. 


Servers are responsible for the guest’s experience throughout their dining experience, or Lounge + Patio visit. Bartenders prepare drinks, cellar masters and wine stewards share information and recommendations on wine and there are support staff to assist in ensuring a seamless service. Main and private dining guests are escorted to the outdoor seat deck to enjoy the Stampede Rodeo or Evening Show, complete with in-seat service.


ranahans is located at the north end on the third level of the Grandstand. Access is by walking only.

Main and private dining guests who hold a ticket will access the venue through the well-marked private entrance to ranahans Lobby between the north and main entrance from the Grandstand courtyard. They will be escorted to a private elevator and taken directly to the third level.

ranahans Lounge + Patio guests will access the venue through the entrance (red awning) beside the north doors of the Grandstand courtyard and proceed up the escalator to the third level to enter ranahans on the north side of the venue.

Guests will be greeted outside the entrances to ranahans by Guest Service. They will be asked to present their digital ticket, Member or Founders Club card for scanning and Guest Service will ensure they are adhering to the dress code. 

Guest Service will introduce venue amenities, explain our rules of play including health and safety protocols and venue re-entry procedures. 

Physical distancing will be observed upon entry, exit and throughout ranahans. Entry will be permitted in group cohorts. Face masks will be worn by employees at all times.


*NEW With the health and safety of our community a top priority, the Calgary Stampede is planning and preparing to adapt to all public health orders. Under the guidance of Alberta Health Services, we will implement the appropriate and most current safety procedures and protocols to welcome guests safely. Guests are expected to follow these guidelines.
